Bios

• Ms Lisa

  Lisa and Greg O'Brien are the on-site owners and business managers of The Goddard School located in Gainesville (near Haymarket). We have a young daughter and recognize the importance of a safe and nurturing learning environment. We are excited to be able to provide Goddard's outstanding program to the children in the community. Lisa earned her Bachelor's degree in Communications and a Juris Doctorate degree in Law. Greg earned a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. We are eager to be a part of shaping young minds and preparing children for a successful future. We want to welcome everyone to our School and look forward to getting to know each of the children and their families!

• Ms Colleen

  Ms. Colleen has an Associate degree of Applied Science in Early Childhood Education, from Northern Virginia Community College. She also has a certificate for being a Cognitive Coach. Ms. Colleen has been working with children, in teaching capacities since 2010. Previously, Ms. Colleen was a teacher in the preschool class within The Goddard School since its opening in Fall 2016. Ms. Colleen first joined the school's management team, as Assistant Director of Operations, in Summer 2018. In April 2022, Ms. Colleen was promoted to Director of Operations. She believes its important as an educator to create partnerships with families in an early learning environment to then focus on each child’s needs and learning styles. Ms. Colleen is excited to partner with all the school's families to foster each child’s growth and learning.

• Ms Molly

  Ms. Molly has an Advanced Career Studies Certificate in Early Childhood Development, from Lord Fairfax Community College. She is also working towards completing her degree in Education. Ms. Molly has been working with children, in teaching capacities since 2014. At The Goddard School previously, Ms. Molly started at an assistant teacher in Spring 2017, and later became a Lead Pre-Kindergarten teacher. She first joined the school's management team, as Assistant Director of Education in Summer 2020. In April 2022, Ms. Molly was promoted to Director of Education. She believes that one of the most important aspects of teaching is to first build relationships. Ms. Molly also believes that it is essential to provide an environment where children can feel safe, loved, comfortable, and free to express themselves. Ms. Molly is excited to continue working with our Goddard families in this administrative role.

• Ms Kaity

  Ms. Kaity has an Associates degree in Business Administration from Northern Virginia Community College. She is also pursuing an Early Childhood Education Associate. Ms. Kaity has been working with children, in teaching capacities since 2010. Previously, Ms. Kaity worked as a Lead Teacher at another Northern Virginia Goddard School for 5 years. She joined our school in 2019, as a Lead Teacher, and became a Teacher Trainer and Curriculum Resource Specialist. Ms. Kaity joined the school's management team as Assistant Director in Spring 2022. She believes it is important to first create an individualized learning environment for each child. In order to create a special bond, Ms. Kaity uses meaningful positives interactions. Ms. Kaity also believes that all children should feel welcomed, loved, and safe to be themselves as the continue to grow. She is excited to continue working with families and their children, creating those special bonds with each.

• Ms Cassie

  Ms. Cassie has a Associates degree from Laurel Ridge Community College, and is soon to be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. Since 2017, Ms. Cassie has worked with children of various ages in childcare capacities. Ms. Cassie has been with The Goddard School since September 2022.

• Ms Gulshan

  Ms. Gulshan has an Associates Degree in General Education, from Salt Lake Community College. She has been working with young children since 2019. Ms. Gulshan has been with The Goddard School since December 2022.

• Ms Jenifer

  Ms. Jenifer has an Associates degree in Graphic Design, from ITT Technical Institute and is looking at going back to school for a Bachelor's Degree in Education. She has been working with children of all ages since 2003. Ms. Jenifer has been with The Goddard School since April 2023.

• Ms Jocey

  Ms. Jocey is currently pursuing a double major in Early Childhood Education and Psychology. She has been working with young children since 2016. Ms. Jocey has been with The Goddard School since October 2022.

• Ms Kate

  Ms. Kate has a Bachelor's Degree in Child Development & Family Studies from West Virginia University. She is currently finishing a Virginia Teaching License. Ms. Kate has worked in childcare settings, as a teacher and/or administrator since 2012. Ms. Kate has been with The Goddard School since January 2019.

• Ms Krishelle

  Ms. Krishelle has a Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Science and a minor in Elementary Education, from Metropolitan State University of Denver. She has been working in childcare & teaching capacities since 2010. Ms. Krishelle has been with The Goddard School since December 2019.

• Ms Marisa

  Ms. Marisa has an Associates Degree in Multimedia Technology, from Springfield Technical Community College and is currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree of Science for Strategic Communications. She has been working with young children since 2013. Ms. Marisa has been with The Goddard School since November 2022.

• Ms Romy

  Ms. Romy has an Associates degree in Business Administration. She has been working in early childhood education since 2012. Ms. Romy has been with The Goddard School since November 2020.

• Ms Sharlisa

  Ms. Sharlisa is currently pursuing an Associates degree in Early Childhood Education. She has been working with young children of various ages, since 2012. Ms. Sharlisa has been with The Goddard School since February 2021.

• Ms Wafa

  Ms. Wafa has a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, from the Sudan University of Science and Technology and is soon to be pursuing a Masters degree. She has been working with young children in Early Childhood Education since 2007. Ms. Wafa has been with The Goddard School since August 2022.

• Ms Carla

  Ms. Carla is currently pursuing an Associates degree in Social Science and Teacher Education and eventually will be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Education. She has been working with young children since 2022. Ms. Carla has been with The Goddard School since April 2022.

• Ms Marisol

  Ms. Marisol is soon to be pursuing a teaching degree. She has been working in early childhood education with young children since early 2022. Ms. Marisol has been with The Goddard School since October 2022.

• Mr Wenny

  Mr. Wenny has been working with young children in childcare facilities since 2018. Mr. Wenny has been with The Goddard School since September 2022.

• Ms Melissa

  Ms. Melissa has a Health Information & Medical Coding Certificate from Everest College. She is currently pursuing a Child Development Associates Certificate. Ms. Melissa has been working with young children in early childhood since 2002. Ms. Melissa has been with The Goddard School since August 2021.
